A Teacher's Guide to Back to School

Welcome to our back to school guide. We know that getting ready for September can often feel like a chore, but it doesn’t have to be that way. We have listed some tips and helpful information to help you get prepared for the new semester.

Resources, resources, resources!

From pens, pencils, erasers, to paper, having a vast collection of resources at your disposal is never a bad thing. As the semester progresses, the last thing you need is to be scrambling for a marker or using a dried out ball-point pen.

Back to School Organisation

A little organisation goes a long way. After all, a tidy space is a tidy mind. Take time at the begging of the semester to ensure you are on top of your classroom organisation and make sure it suits your needs.

Lesson Planning

Planning your academic year and your lessons in advance is a great option to consider. Being overly organised is always a bonus, as the classrooms can often be unpredictable. Make sure you have extra lessons planned and prepare additional resources. You never know when you’ll need them.

When September rolls around, we can often get overwhelmed with the number of tasks and responsibilities we have to uphold. As a result, our health and wellbeing can take a backseat, as we fail to set aside time to exercise, eat right, and generally take care of ourselves.

Why don’ you make a commitment to your health and wellbeing during September. Like an important meeting or a deadline, schedule moments to relax, exercise, and disconnect.
